About Caitlin
Current Experience
Caitlin currently works as a Government Relations Associate for Planned Parenthood Northern California and serves as the first-ever chapter President of PPNorCal Workers United, a chapter of SEIU 1021 representing approximately 350 healthcare and administrative workers.
Caitlin ran for the position of School Board Trustee for Petaluma City Schools in 2018, when she won a seat by defeating three incumbents and earning over 12,700 votes. She is currently on her second term in elected office.
Past Experience
Caitlin has previously served on the City of Petaluma's Animal Advisory Committee and the City of Petaluma's Youth Commission. She has also served on the Sonoma County Commission on the Status of Women, the Board of Petaluma Pride, and the Board of the UC Student Association.
In 2019, Caitlin graduated from the Leadership Institute for Just and Resilient Communities. In 2025, she won the Goldman School of Public Policy - Public Policy Minor Distinguished Alumni Award.
Background
Caitlin is a proud product of California's public school system, graduating from Casa Grande High School in 2011 and UC Berkeley in 2015 with a major in Political Science and minors in Public Policy and Ethnic Studies.
Before joining Planned Parenthood, Caitlin worked as a Communications Coordinator at Conservation Corps North Bay and Verity, Sonoma County's Rape Crisis Center.
Personal Life
Caitlin is an avid audiobook reader, and an occasional hiker. She lives in east Petaluma with her partner, three stepkids, two dogs, a cat, and six chickens. She loves to travel the world whenever possible, whether with friends and family or solo.
