Caitlin currently works as the Online Advocacy Specialist for Planned Parenthood Northern California, having previously honed her communications skills at Conservation Corps North Bay and Verity.
She recently joined coworkers from San Francisco to Eureka in creating PPNorCal Workers United, a workers' union that represents over 300 workers.
Caitlin is a graduate of the Leadership Institute for Just and Resilient Communities, an avid audiobook reader, and an occasional hiker. She lives in east Petaluma with her partner, three stepkids, two dogs, a cat, and six chickens.
Caitlin graduated from Casa Grande High School in Petaluma before earning her BA in Political Science and minors in Public Policy and Ethnic Studies at the University of California, Berkeley. She began her career in public service as a student government leader registering students to vote, expanding campus rights and representation for queer students, and organizing student support for the local labor movement.
Caitlin ran for the position of School Board Trustee for Petaluma City Schools in 2018, when she won a seat by defeating three incumbents and earning over 12,700 votes. She is currently on her second term in elected office and serves as the Board Vice President.
Caitlin has previously served on the City of Petaluma's Animal Advisory Committee, the Sonoma County Commission on the Status of Women, the Board of Petaluma Pride, and the Board of the UC Student Association.
